I grew up attending church and absolutely hated it. I was bullied by the other kids and never felt like I fit in. I became a very depressed and angry person. In my freshman year of high school, my family was involved in The Alpha Course. As part of the course, there is a Holy Spirit weekend retreat and my family made me go with them because I was not allowed to stay home alone. On the second day, there was a time to ask Jesus into your heart and pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I decided to pray because I felt like I had nothing to lose. My life was changed as a result. Not only has my life been changed by The Alpha Course, I have seen the changes it has made in my family and others. This is why I am so passionate about it.
When I was 16, I felt God calling me to ministry. I became a member at a new church and got involved in both attending and leading various bible studies. I taught and lead youth Sunday School and Youth Alpha. I also started a weekly teen Life Journaling group. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies with a minor in Biblical Studies from Arizona Christian University. In June 2021, I graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary with my Master of Arts in Theology.
I am a member at Spirit of Hope United Methodist Church in Peoria, Arizona. I have been involved in leading Alpha Courses, women’s bible studies, and Life Journaling groups. Helping people to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and experience the power of the Holy Spirit is the heart of my ministry.
